My Rights - My Responsibilities (MRMR), No. 2017-1-UK01-KA219-036528_3, will harness the considerable expertise across the partnership in working at a transnational level to develop an exciting new series of modules based on Children’s Rights. The work is innovative since, of the schools involved, only England has any direct experience of Children’s Rights being part of the curriculum. The project will build on the work which Summerhill has already pioneered with regard to the Rights Respecting Schools agenda, supported by UNICEF and Liverpool University. Summerhill will share their learning with partners in the group, but will also look to gain new ideas and insights into the Rights agenda through the international dimension. Summerhill has worked with a number of English schools in this context but has not come across others who have worked at an international level in this way. The Module approach that we are using in this project, is, as far as we know, unique to teaching about Children’s Rights.
