      The first short-term joint staff project meeting took place in Zogno, Italy in February 2018.

   First, there was an opportunity for all schools to present themselves in terms of Article 7 (the right to a name and nationality), Article 8 (the right to identity) and Article 30 (right to culture, language and religion). These have been the focus of Module 1 – All About Me, and schools will show what they have learned and the work they’ve done during this module.

      Then Italy introduced Module 2- It’s a Small World (Rights and Responsibilities regarding the environment). The learning focus was on Article 29 – the right to live peacefully, protect the environment, and respect other people. Italy demonstrated how this right manifests itself in the school, demonstrating its particular specialism in sustainability.  These were very hands-on and highly motivating for all participants, and staff and students worked together as equals.
